Part two of our trip to France: The French Riviera!

Unlike our time in the city, we had not one single item on our agenda for the beach. It was kind of nice to just have some days to lazily cruise the beach and shops without a care in the world.

Our hotel set up a cot for Juliet and we loved that they properly made the bed for her upon our arrival. Juliet jumped right in to try it out.

Nice was very warm and we got to eat every meal outside. Every restaurant had a tables that extended into the sidewalk. Even at 9:00 at night the restaurants were packed with people eating and enjoying the town.

The beach was really rocky. I knew going into it, but I thought there would be a bit of sand here and there. Not as much as one little patch. People just plopped down right on the rocks to sunbathe. We were a bit more high maintenance and hung out in the hotel's beach club.

.

Rocks and water kept Juliet (and one of us) busy at the beach.

We came across the most beautiful and sweet carousal I have ever seen. I was just dying over how adorable it was. It was very old, an antique really, but in great condition. Truly a piece of art. And with the beautiful French buildings and the Mediterranean in the background, it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Two old ladies were running it and pipping big band style music through it. We rode it three times, twice all by ourselves and it truly felt like we were taken away to a magical little land. My pictures just don't do it justice.

And that concludes our tour! I loved France and could return again and again, and my fingers are crossed that we will be back in Paris next spring!
