I'm a girl from West Seattle who married a boy from Spokane, and together we are living our life with our sweet children, James and Juliet

My sweet babies have been sick since Christmas Eve. This was Juliet's first real cold/fever/cough. Ever. She has had a small cold here and there, but nothing like this. It worried me some because I didn't want her to be uncomfortable, but I knew she would be okay. Then James got sick. And when your four month old loses his appetite and runs a fever for days, you feel sick. He saw his doctor, but I still would have done anything to make him well. He is almost 100 percent, but it is hard knowing your little tiny baby is uncomfortable. Thank goodness he loves baths because he got quite a few while he was running his fever.

I started wondering if we are protecting them enough? Are we making the best food choices? I started going crazy questioning whether we should we be drinking raw milk, making keifer, taking fermented cod liver oil, cutting out all non-organic corn and soy food, the list went on and on.  I started to feel like I need to do more to keep us all healthy. But then I talked with my dear husband and regained my composure. I remembered to start small, and that even little changes make a difference. Now we are all feeling much better, and ready to get back into our regular schedule.

And although my children have exhausted me to levels of tiredness I have never known, they flood me with such happiness and love that is even deeper and greater than the happiness and love that I already knew.
