I broke with tradition and did not dress James in a onesie because he is too delicious to cover up, and I just love his chubby little body. Currently, James likes to laugh, to stand when we hold him up, to look around, toys that light up or make music, to suck on his hands, (see picture) and Juliet's old butterfly mobile (poor thing still doesn't have his own). He is getting easier and easier and is the most happy baby. All it takes is for me to smile and laugh at him and he quickly flashes a grin and giggles right back, which of course just makes me melt. I read in one of my baby books that a study was done to look at the connection between the heartbeats of mothers and thier newborn babies. They found that when the mother and her infant looked at each other and smiled, their heartbeats synced up, and it couldn't feel more true.  I love my baby boy more and more each day.
