I'm a girl from West Seattle who married a boy from Spokane, and together we are living our life with our sweet children, James and Juliet

Yesterday was the most beautiful day, so Juliet and I walked down to the beach. Up until now we usuallly just strolled along until we got to the play area, but now that Juliet is a little older (and a better walker), I took her out of the stroller, and together we combed the beach. She was a little uncertain about walking along the rocks at first, but before long she was right at the water's edge. I showed her how to throw rocks in the sound and use shells to dig up the sand. She of course preferred the rocks to the sand, and they needed to be clean rocks because she didn't want to get any sand on those little fingers of hers.

I have to say that looking for rocks along the beach with my little girl, just might have been one of the happiest days of my life. I thought about how I used to long for her to stay itty bitty forever, but it is moments like these remind you that it keeps getting better and better.  As much as I adored the baby stages, I am loving this time with my little girl.

  1. Those are some great sunlight shots of J! In that first photo in front of the logs, her face really reminds me of B. I love how girly she is with "dirty things".. whereas Bear, would have no problem tasting dirtiest rock that sparked his interest. **sigh**

Must get the kiddos together soon!
