new years eve

We got all bundled up and took a walk around Green Lake with Mason and Vickie. It was freezing cold, but there was not a cloud in the sky.

We went to an early dinner with the Kuipers, Herzogs, Browns, and Thorpes and were home by 8:30. B and I stayed up to watch a movie (The Town) and ring in the New Year, and I have to say it was one of the best New Years ever! There used to be so much anticipation for the night and it always seemed a little disappointing.  However, I learned that to have zero expectations or desire to do anything, turns a walk around Green Lake and dinner at Jaliscos into a perfect day.
