I have been meaning to upload J's 22 month photo for weeks now, and here it finally is. When I started her monthly photos I only planned to take them once a month for a year, but when her 13 month rolled around I figured why stop. I have loved documenting her changes and hold this little blog/baby book dear to my heart. And to be honest it makes me a bit sad to think that I may stop her monthly photos in just two more months. Once her second birthday rolls around, our little family will have expanded from three to four, so who know what the future holds, but for now I savor these little moments documenting our sweet girl's growth each month.
Next to Juliet is a pile of books which is so appropriate for what she is currently obsessed with: carrying something or piles of things from room to room. She also is much more head strong now, so convincing her she does not need another pile of books in the car can be quite a battle. We used to be fairly organized by keeping the playroom toys downstairs, her room toys upstairs, etc, but now tears burst out of her eyes if I tell her the teacup needs to stay in the playroom. I learn to pick and choose my battles, and she is still easily distracted and calmed, but I still find myself crazily running around the house returning things to their rightful place or trying to convince her that we don't need to take five books with us to change her diaper. One of the joys of this age though is that I can hop upstairs for a moment and not worry about her. Although I only have a brief minute before I hear her sweet voice calling out for me.
Juliet adores her Daddy, our neighborhood kids, bubbles, chalk, the beach, Elmo, books, the library, gym class, diggers, garbage trucks, garbage cans, mailing letters, checking the mail, and writing her own letter J (although when she writes it she proudly says to us, "Me!")
