While at work yesterday, my mom sent me these photos, and it just made my heart melt.

Juliet loves to go on walks and does not want to hold our hand. And while I love this sense of independence, I also can't help but think how important it is to treasure this time because some day I won't be right next to her side watching her take the world in.

While we walk together, and I watch her every step, she watches and stops at each flower and dog and waves. It is so simple and innocent, just as her little world is.
