I'm a girl from West Seattle who married a boy from Spokane, and together we are living our life with our sweet children, James and Juliet

Ever since I saw these fun pom poms on Etsy I wanted to buy them and fill up my whole house. They just scream fun, yet in a soft kind of way. Now I am thinking they just might work in our little bean's room. Perhaps as a mobile above her bed or over the dresser so she has something interesting to look at while we change her.

Of course after I saw YHL's mobile I fell in love with their idea, too. If only I could make both work...

I absolutely love this table. It would be a perfect side table to hold a glass of water, books or magazines while I am feeding the baby. Now I just need to find it. Freckles Chick bought it at Target, but I can't seem to track it down.
Shannon from pink wallpaper posted this quote on her blog today and I find it sweet and simple. I couldn't help but think that it is something I wish for our daughter. I may make this into some art for her room.

The link was for you, Kath! My skills are coming along slowly, but surely :)

mirror, mirror on the wall

After falling in love with this photo from my favorite bloggers over at YHL,

I was set on adding a mirror above our little bean's crib. Especially since YHL bought the exact crib I have had my eye on for a while. (Don't you just love their curtains, too!) However, I am a little hesitant because of the whole safety thing. Do I really want a heavy piece of glass hanging above the crib? But, oh how it would look nice sitting across from the window and would make the tiny room appear just that much bigger. The thought lingered in the back of mind until now.

Don't you just love how they propped the mirror up behind the crib. Thanks to the folks over at ohdeedoh I may have a new plan for the nursery. Now I just need to find a mirror that will work.

love affair with baby gap

I fell in love with these cute little baby bundles to wrap our little bean in when she arrives! After waiting a few days I came across a 20% off coupon, so I just couldn't resist. They seem so soft and cuddly. Who wouldn't want one?! This marks our first baby clothes purchase. I am quite proud of myself for waiting this long. Now let the shopping begin...

baby, hit me one more time

At 19 weeks, I finally felt her kick. It was just a small little flutter, but now she is rockin' and rollin' in there. Throughout the day her movements are sporadic, but come 6:00 and she is moving. I wonder if she is a night owl? I hope she doesn't take after her dad on this one.

auntie kathleen

Auntie Kathleen has tracked down the warmest, softest blanket ever for our little bean! Baby girl stuff has never looked so cute. The color combo will be perfect for our pink and green bedding and drapes that will be ready this summer!

snow bunny

How cute is this! As our trip to came to a close, Juliet received one more gift from grandma Jan and grandpa Lar. I can't wait until next winter when we head back to Sandpoint and she can rock this Schweitzer sweatshirt. Only three more years (two if B gets his way) until she hits the slopes.

pink party

As soon as we found out our little bean was a little girl, we took off to see Jan and Lar's new lake house at the bottom of our beloved Schweitzer for a little spring skiing. (I of course was sitting this one out.) Almost six hours later we arrived to a pink party in honor of Juliet! Jan was able to prepare this so quickly because she bought items for a blue and pink themed party, so when we called to tell her the exciting news she just whipped out the pink stuff and got to work. She even made us pink strawberry smoothies. Had it been a boy, I am not sure what we would have drank-blueberry italian sodas? Juliet received her first book, a pink onesie, and little mary jane socks.
